EXPRESS ENTRY INVITATION ROUNDS
Express Entry Invitation Rounds
The Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) invites candidates to apply for Canadian Permanent Residence in the Express Entry Invitation Rounds.
Monthly Draws
On average, two or three times in a month the IRCC invites skilled workers to apply for permanent residence. So, candidates in the Express Entry Pool may be selected in any of its draws. Candidates score in the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) is determinative on who will be invited.
Ministerial Instructions
Minister prepares Instructions for each round that set:
- The date and time of a draw.
- The number of candidates that will get an invitation to apply for permanent residence.
- Immigration programs under which candidates in the pool will be selected.
Some invitation rounds may only invite candidates for one program, for example from Federal Skilled Trades, or Canadian Experience Class, or Federal Skilled Worker program only.
Invitation to Apply for Canadian Permanent Residence
To estimate the likelihood to be invited in the future Invitation Rounds calculate your Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score and compare it with the CRS score of the lowest-ranked candidate in the previous draw.
This way candidates can see how likely they are to get an invitation in the next round. Learn more about how to immigrate to Canada through Express Entry.
